报告人简介:

    Prof. Yimin Cai holds a PhD in Animal Science from Ehime University, Japan. From 1989 to 1999, he worked in the National Grassland Research Institute of Japan and the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research in Japan on feed science and microbiology research. From 1999 to 2016, he served as the laboratory director and chair researcher of the National Institute of Livestock and Grassland Science of Japan. From 2017 to present, he has served as the Senior researcher of the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciencesand has been a distinguished professor at Zhengzhou University since 2024. He has won the Japan Grassland Society Awardjointly won the Japan Grand Prize of Animal Husbandry, published more than 170 SCI papers, and participated in more than 30 books. His current main research directions are the tropical agriculture and animal husbandry production and food security, development and utilization of agricultural and sideline product resources, sustainable agricultural production, and carbon neutrality in animal husbandry.
